The tour begins in the city of Iquitos, located in the middle of the jungle, which is an island in the Amazon River, since the only ways to access it are by river (4 days) from the Amazonian city of Pucallpa or by plane from Lima.
HIERBAS DEL PERU S.A. offers you a stay of 6 days and 5 nights, during which you will be in direct contact with nature, receive talks of the different species and medicinal plants, spectacular walks along the Amazon River, visiting tribes, natural reserves and 1 Ayahuasca session.
The shaman will guide you through the experience of an Ayahuasca session through ICAROS (shamanic chants).
Ayahuasca sessions include prior talks and personalized assistance and guidance from our shamans.

Note: The food intended for the ayahuasca session, will be properly prepared by specialized personnel.

• For groups of 2 to 4 persons, US$ 2,600.00 – per person.

Reservations are made a minimum of 30 days in advance, given the high demand and the facilities of our locations.
You should keep in mind that you will be provided with 2 to 3 dates to attend this tour.
ITINERARY
Reception at the Lima airport on time and indicated day of the flight (2 hours before the exit).
Pick up Iquitos airport and hotel transfer. Informative talk. Lunch and/or Dinner depending on time arrival.
Early pick up from the hotel at the indicated time.
Traveling in the Amazon River, visiting:
• LOS YAGUAS riverside tribe, where we will learn about their customs
• Butterfly farm.
• We will look for the pink river dolphin.
• River fishing for piranhas and other species.
• Water and snacks will be brought for the ride.
Afternoon and night free.
Preparation for the session
Of Ayahuasca.
Special food for the ayahuasca session.
Transfer from the Hotel to the
Session center.
End of session, transfer to hotel.
Pick up from the hotel at the indicated
Hour to visit to the Quistococha Zoo, where you will appreciate an extensive variety of exotic animals and the famous pink river dolphin.
Also you can swim in the beautiful lagoon.
Typical Amazonian lunch.
Then we will visit the Animals Rescue Center where you can feedthe manatees and see other species.
Return to the hotel for a rest.
Afternoon and night free.
Pick up from the hotel at the indicated time.
Boat ride on the Amazon River:
• Visiting the riverine tribe LOS BORAS, where
you will enjoy their customs and teaching of the blowpipe.
• Jungle walk with an aboriginal guide, who will show the secrets of the jungle.
Snacks and water are included.
At night we will visit the river boulevard, were
you will enjoy a selection (tasting) of Amazonian liquors (different macerated plants).
Pick up from the hotel at the indicated time and transfer to the airport.

THE AYAHUASCA SESSION
Between 5 and 6 in the afternoon, we will go to the facility where the session will begin.
It will be semi-dark and quiet. The shaman begins the ceremony by smoking and blowing on the attendees with Mapacho smoke (Indian tobacco) and ringing his Shacapa (kind of rattle), requesting permission from the spirits of the plants, singing the Icaros (shamanic songs) to be able to start the ritual.
The effect of the beverage occurs between 20 to 30 minutes after ingestion and the trance lasts an average of 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
There will be permanent help from the Shaman’s assistants.
The end of the ceremony is carried out when the shaman passes the Shacapa over those present again, directing the smoke from his Mapacho over their heads as a symbol of blessing.
There is a resting environment after the ceremony.
After the session, you will be taken to your Hotel.
