• ORIGIN: Peru
Kambo is prepared by the Matse tribe of the Peruvian Amazon, it is the skin secretion obtained from the frog Phyllomedusa bicolor, an arboreal amphibian that lives in the basins of the Amazon River.
• PROPERTIES: Drink a large amount of water before application. Prior to application, the skin is burned superficially with a twig, leaving a certain number of ‘dots’. The secretion of the frog previously hydrated with water will be applied to these points.
• CONTRAINDICATIONS: Kambo is absolutely contraindicated for pregnant women, nursing mothers and people with cardiovascular problems, chronic hypotension, elderly people and/or people with a fragile state of health.
